What is police verification for passport? ▼
Police verification is a mandatory background check conducted by local police to verify the applicant's identity, address and criminal record before issuing a passport.
Is Aadhaar mandatory for passport? ▼
Aadhaar is one of the preferred and most convenient documents for identity and address proof, but it is not the only option. Other valid documents like PAN card, Voter ID, or Driving License can also be submitted.
What is Annexure F used for? ▼
Annexure F is a statutory declaration required specifically for Tatkal passport applications. It must be certified by a gazetted officer or notary public.
What is Annexure H used for? ▼
Annexure H is required for minor passport applications when only one parent is present or the consent of the other parent cannot be obtained (e.g., single parent, deceased parent).
What documents are needed for a minor's passport? ▼
Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card (if available), passports of both parents, school ID/bonafide certificate, Annexure H (if single parent). Both parents must be present at PSK or submit Appendix 12.
